Diamond Certification

At Fairfax & Roberts, we always recommend purchasing a certified diamond. A diamond certification provides buyers with a clear and comprehensive understanding of a diamond’s unique attributes and how it compares to others. The certification documents are important as they are an official, independent
grading of the diamond's characteristics and quality. The certificate aids in understanding the value of the diamond, and it is an important report for insurance purposes.

Both natural and lab-grown diamonds are certified by leading diamond grading laboratories like GIA, IGI, HRD, AGS and EGL. For natural diamonds, GIA is the most well-known and respected grading laboratory whereas, IGI is the most well-known laboratory for lab-grown diamonds.
