SHINING A LIGHT ON MEDICAL RESEARCH
Fairfax & Roberts is delighted to partner with The Westmead Institute for Medical Research (WIMR) in an effort to raise awareness and directly support its pioneering and lifesaving work into some of the most serious disease challenges of our time. One of these is breast cancer.

Dr Dinny Graham
PERSONALISED MEDICINE
Decades of medical research have improved outcomes for women diagnosed with breast cancer. More recently, personalised medicine has revolutionised the way we treat this often devastating disease.
WIMR’s Dr Dinny Graham is dedicated to finding a way to better predict treatment options for breast cancer, so that the most effective treatment can be selected early. This is an important part of ensuring that survival rates continue to rise.

A NEW TREATMENT
A new test in development, spearheaded by Dr Dinny Graham and her WIMR team, is called PROSPER. It is a low-cost test that will help identify the most effective treatment option for each person diagnosed with certain breast cancers, giving them the best chance of a cancer-free future.
Dr Graham says, “I believe the availability of the PROSPER test will mean more women will be prescribed the most appropriate treatment from the outset. By improving the likelihood of successful treatment of the disease, and preventing relapse, we will be improving breast cancer survival rates. Ultimately, that’s our goal. To stop women from dying of breast cancer.”
