How They Wore it: Jewellery at the Grammys

16 September 2020

At the recent Grammy Awards the dresses seemed to be skimpier than ever with celebrities daring to bare (almost) all. One thing they didn’t skimp on however was jewellery, specifically delicate and intricate diamond-studded rings. Lady Gaga, in her stylish nod to music legend David Bowie was sporting numerous Lorraine Schwartz rings on her left hand. In addition to her heart-diamond engagement ring she wore a diamond and jet ring that sparkled in concentric circles and on her right hand, two large blue sapphire rings that matched her starman eye makeup. Demi Lovato hit the red carpet adorned in numerous rings and an eye-catching diamond necklace from favoured rock chick designer Loree Rodkin. On her left hand she showcased two large Rodkin pieces, while on her right she wore a set of three delicate, yet edgy rings. Rodkin, available exclusively at Fairfax & Roberts in Australia, is known for her rock and roll style and is a favourite of artists including Rihanna and Jessica Biel. Ariana Grande matched her delicate filigree earrings from Niwaka with multiple rings from the same jeweller to create a look that was striking against her monochrome tangerine gown. Model Alessandra Ambrosio embraced the look with striking black diamond finger cuffs by Noudar – joined by a chain – on the pointer and little finger of her right hand. Elle King’s intricate spiderweb ring by Jacob & Co embraced the more is more trend as it was accompanied by a large cushion-cut diamond ring and a square cut jet or ebony ring. While you might not be walking the red carpet any time soon, you can recreate this rockstar look by wearing rings on multiple fingers – restraint is not an option!
