Internationally acclaimed artist and designer Benjamin Shine’s, distinctive pieces sit harmoniously alongside our own one-of-a-kind jewels in a beautiful partnership of artistic direction.
A highlight of this partnership is Incarnation #6, one of Shine’s luminous tulle artworks depicting a woman adorned in jewellery inspired by some of Fairfax & Roberts’ most exquisite creations. The piece captures a sense of movement, emotion, and elegance, an ethereal echo of the artistry at the heart of our brand.
About Benjamin Shine: Artist, Designer, Visionary
British-born and now based in Australia, Benjamin Shine is renowned for his multidisciplinary approach and his ability to transform simple materials, most famously tulle, into sculptural, expressive works. After studying fashion design at Central Saint Martins in London, he established his creative studio with a focus on challenging perceptions through innovation and meticulous craftsmanship.
Shine’s work spans fashion, furniture, product design, mixed media, large-scale installations, and public sculpture. His internationally celebrated tulle artworks explore themes of energy, impermanence, and the relationship between the spiritual and the superficial.
His pieces have been exhibited and acquired by major cultural institutions, including; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Arts and Design New York, The Crafts Council UK and The Design Museum London.
Shine has collaborated with global icons and luxury houses such as Beyoncé, Givenchy, Maison Margiela, Bergdorf Goodman, Chloe x Halle, Prince Albert II of Monaco, MTV, and Google, among many others. His achievements have also earned him the Red Dot Design Award, the Enterprising Young Brit Award, and Australia’s Arts and Entertainment Export Award.
